B-LINE B3067-5 PLN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the load capacity of the B-Line B3067-5 pipe support bracket?
The B-Line B3067-5 bracket is rated at 15,795 lbs load capacity. That is the figure to check your pipe run against, including contents and any insulation, before you size the bracket to the strut and anchors behind it.
2) How does the B3067-5 hang-through bracket actually support the pipe?
It is a hang-through support bracket that carries the pipe on top of the bracket rather than clamping around it. The pipe passes through the opening and rests on the bracket, so the load bears down onto the bracket and into the strut system behind it. If you need the pipe clamped or suspended below, a pipe clamp or clevis hanger is the right part instead of this bracket.
3) What size is the B-Line B3067-5 bracket?
Stated dimensions are 46 in width, 42 in length/depth and 5 in height. It is a large assembly, so confirm you have the clearance between the pipe run and the wall or structure before you order.
4) How heavy is the B3067-5 bracket, and is it a one-man install?
At 157.95 lb, no. Plan on two people minimum or mechanical lift assist for setting this bracket, and make sure your anchors and the supporting structure account for the bracket's own weight on top of the pipe load.
5) Does the B3067-5 bracket come with any coating or paint?
It ships plain, with no applied coating. For interior, dry mechanical or electrical spaces that is normally fine; for exterior, wash-down or corrosive environments you should be specifying a coated or corrosion-resistant finish rather than plain.
6) What is the exact part number to order this Eaton B-Line pipe support bracket?
Order it as B-Line B3067-5 PLN, part of the Eaton B-Line strut fittings and accessories line. The PLN suffix designates the plain finish version.
7) Is the B3067-5 a welded assembly or does it bolt together on site?
It is a welded bracket, supplied as a finished assembly. There is no field fabrication of the bracket itself, so your install work is limited to fastening it to the strut or structure and setting the pipe.
