Rated at 600 lbs load capacity. The clamp body is steel, so the practical limit on a run is usually the strut and the anchors into the structure rather than the clamp itself.

A standard strut clamp holds the pipe metal-to-metal, so pump pulsation, refrigerant line chatter, or water hammer transmits straight into the strut and the building structure. The Vibra-clamp is built to dampen vibration and noise at the pipe-to-support point. On a chilled water riser, compressor line, or any pipe next to occupied space, that is the reason to spend the extra money. For dry conduit runs and static supports, a plain clamp is fine.

Yellow zinc chromate is a plated finish intended for dry indoor service. It gives light corrosion protection for mechanical rooms and interior ceilings, not for rooftops, exterior risers, or washdown areas. For outdoor or corrosive environments, specify a hot-dip galvanized or stainless version of the clamp instead of the YZN part.

What ships is the clamp itself, at .2 lb each. The strut channel, the channel nut, and the bolt are separate items, so order those with the clamps if you are not already stocking them. Nothing about the clamp changes what strut it mounts to; it is a standard strut-mount pipe clamp.
