B-LINE CC3200SR01 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What enclosure does the B-Line Type CC CC3200SR01 circuit breaker mount in?
The Type CC molded case breaker, model CC3200SR01, is built for Type ECC unit enclosures. It is not a loose panelboard breaker, so if your gear is not a Type ECC unit enclosure it is the wrong mounting.
2) Is the CC3200SR01 breaker rated for a 240V three-phase service at 200 amps?
Yes. The Type CC breaker CC3200SR01 is a three-pole, 200A device rated 240V, which covers a 240V three-phase feeder or main at that ampacity.
3) What conductor sizes will the lugs on this 200A Type CC breaker accept?
Terminals take #2/0 AWG through 300 kcmil, copper or aluminum. That range covers typical 200A feeders in either material, so you do not need separate Cu-only or Al-only lug kits.
4) Will a 10 kAIC breaker satisfy my available fault current?
The CC3200SR01 has a 10 kAIC interrupting rating at 240V. If your utility or transformer calculation puts available fault current above 10 kA at that point in the system, this breaker is not adequate unless it is series rated or fed through an upstream current-limiting device. Below 10 kA it stands alone.
5) Does this Type CC breaker include a shunt trip, and what voltage does the coil need?
It comes with a 120V shunt trip built in. That means you can trip it remotely from a 120VAC control circuit, which is how it gets tied into fire alarm shutdown, emergency stop, or elevator power shutdown schemes. You supply the 120V control wiring and the initiating contact.
6) Can I use the CC3200SR01 on a 480V system?
No. This Type CC breaker is rated 240V. For a 480V or 480Y/277V system you need a breaker rated for that voltage class; applying a 240V device there is a code violation and it will not interrupt safely.
7) What part number do I order for a 200A three-pole Type CC breaker with shunt trip?
Order B-Line CC3200SR01. One configuration: three-pole, 200A, 240V, 10 kAIC, with the 120V shunt trip, for Type ECC unit enclosures.
