B-LINE B2126ZN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size bolt does the B-Line B2126ZN conduit clamp take?
The B2126ZN takes a 3/8-16 bolt. That's the thread size to match if you're ordering rod, nuts or channel hardware to go with it, and it's the common size for strut-mounted pipe support in commercial electrical work.
2) How much weight will the B-Line B2126ZN pipe clamp hold?
Rated at 1000 lbs load capacity. That covers most single-run rigid conduit and pipe support on strut, but the rating belongs to the clamp itself, so your rod, strut and anchor have to be sized for the same load or the assembly is only as good as its weakest piece.
3) Is the B-Line B2126ZN sized by pipe O.D. or by trade size?
It's an O.D. pipe conduit clamp, so it's selected against the actual outside diameter of the pipe or conduit, not a nominal trade designation. Measure the O.D. of the run you're supporting before you order, since tubing and rigid conduit of the same nominal call-out don't share the same outside diameter.
4) Do I need to buy a screw separately for the B2126ZN clamp?
No. The B2126ZN ships with a combination recess hex head machine screw included, so the fastener that closes the clamp comes with it. What is not included is the mounting hardware into your strut or structure, so plan on channel nuts, rod or anchors for that side.
5) What material is the B-Line B2126ZN clamp made of, and is it OK outdoors?
It's steel. Steel clamps are standard for interior and protected commercial runs; for continuously wet, coastal or corrosive locations most specs call for stainless or a hot dip galvanized support instead.
6) How big is the B2126ZN clamp and how much does it weigh for a large order?
The B2126ZN measures 11.884 in in length/depth, 1.25 in wide and .12 in high, and weighs 1.23 lb each. Handy if you're pricing freight on a full pallet of strut hardware, or checking that the band wraps a large diameter pipe on your run.
7) Is the B2126ZN clamp one part number or does it come in several sizes?
It's sold as the single model B2126ZN, one configuration, one fastener package. If you're standardizing supports across a building, that makes it easy to spec and reorder without tracking option codes.
