Baldwin 4955190 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What finishes does the Baldwin Estate Hollywood Hills 12 inch pull come in?
Four finishes: 031 Non-Lacquered Brass, 044 Satin Brass PVD, 112 Venetian Bronze, and 150 Satin Nickel. Worth knowing the difference between the two brasses before you order a kitchen's worth. 031 is unlacquered and will darken and patina with handling. 044 is a PVD satin brass, which holds its appearance. If you want every pull in the run to look identical in five years, go PVD.
2) Can I use a 12 inch Baldwin Hollywood Hills pull on a refrigerator or appliance panel?
A 12 inch center-to-center pull is the size typically specified for appliance panels and tall pantry doors rather than standard drawers, and the Hollywood Hills 4955 is a cabinet pull in that size. Confirm your panel is bored at 12 inch centers and that the screw length supplied suits your panel thickness, since paneled appliance fronts are often thicker than a standard cabinet door.
3) Is the Baldwin Estate 4955 pull rated for commercial use?
It is a residential product. For a hotel casework package, a healthcare facility, or anywhere in a commercial MRO spec that calls for a graded pull, this is not the line to standardize on. For high-end residential kitchens, baths, and custom millwork it is exactly what the Estate series is built for.
4) Will the Hollywood Hills pull match other Baldwin Estate hardware in the same room?
Hollywood Hills is part of Baldwin's Estate series, so it is finished to the Estate palette and coordinates with other Estate pieces in the same finish code. If you are matching door hardware already installed, match on the number (031, 044, 112, 150) rather than the finish name, since names repeat across brands and codes do not.
5) What is the difference between the Hollywood Hills pull and a plain modern bar pull?
Hollywood Hills is a transitional design, clean modern lines but with more shaping than a straight tube bar pull. It reads well against both flat slab fronts and lightly detailed shaker doors, which is where a strictly contemporary bar pull can look out of place. If your cabinetry is fully contemporary and you want the hardware to disappear, a plain bar is the quieter choice.
