Bemis 1500ECBP Elongated Enameled Wood Toilet Seat with Easy-Clean Hinge Bulk Pack

No. The 1500ECBP is an elongated seat and will overhang a round front bowl. Elongated bowls run about 18-1/2 inches from the bolt holes to the front rim, round front bowls about 16-1/2 inches, so the two are not interchangeable. For round front fixtures you need the round version of the seat instead.

Yes. The 1500ECBP is built to fit most manufacturers' elongated toilets, mounting on the standard two-bolt pattern used across the industry. The only thing you need to confirm is that the bowl is elongated, not round front.

That is the point of the easy-clean and change hinge on the 1500ECBP. The seat and cover lift off the hinge posts so you can clean around the bolt area and the back of the bowl, then drop it back on. It also makes swapping a damaged seat faster, which is why it gets specified in multi-family and institutional restrooms.

Enameled wood is the heavier, more rigid option compared with molded plastic. The 1500ECBP uses durable enameled wood with a high-gloss finish that resists chipping and scratching, so it holds up to repeated cleaning and heavy use. The hinges are plastic rather than metal, so avoid harsh solvent cleaners on the hinge posts.

The 1500ECBP is the bulk pack version of this Bemis elongated enameled wood seat, which is how property managers and MRO buyers standardize a batch of units on one seat. The seats themselves are identical in fit to the single-pack equivalent; the difference is how they are packaged.

The 1500ECBP ships with its plastic easy-clean hinge assembly and color-matched bumpers, which is what attaches the seat to the bowl through the two standard bolt holes. No tools beyond a screwdriver are typically needed. If the old seat's bolts are corroded into the china, plan on cutting them out before the new seat goes on.

Enameled wood, like the 1500ECBP, gives a solid, heavy feel and a hard high-gloss surface that resists chipping and scratching, and it is the usual choice for residential and light commercial use. Solid plastic seats, often open front without a cover, are what heavy commercial and institutional restrooms tend to spec because they take abrasive cleaners and abuse better. Pick the enameled wood where appearance and feel matter; pick solid plastic where the restroom is public and scrubbed daily.

White is the color offered on the 1500ECBP. The bumpers and hinges are color-matched, so there is no contrasting hardware showing at the back of the seat when it is installed on a white fixture.

Yes, the 1500ECBP has a US country of origin, and it is made with eco-friendly materials and processes, which matters for buyers working to domestic-sourcing or sustainability requirements on a bid.
