48HS2: Lipped strike supplied as option, 4-7/8" x 1-1/4" x 3/32". Fits standard door frame cut-out as specified in ANSI A115.1.
Backset: 2 3/4"
Door Thickness: Standard lock configuration designed for doors 1-3/4" thick. Thick door configuration available for doors up to 3" thick (specify thickness when ordering). NOTE: “R" function not available for thick door.
Deadbolt: Stainless steel, 1" throw

Installation & Operation

1. Review manufacturer specifications and verify door preparation requirements including door thickness (standard 1-3/4" or up to 3" for thick door configuration), mortise pocket dimensions, and handing as applicable.
2. Use manufacturer-provided templates to mark mounting hole locations accurately on door and frame surfaces for the 3-3/8" x 4-3/16" x 1" case.
3. Prepare door by cutting mortise pocket and drilling required holes for the 2 3/4" backset configuration and 1" deadbolt throw.
4. Install mortise case into door pocket and secure the armored front assembly, allowing self-alignment with door bevel during installation.
5. Mount strike assembly (flat 48HS1 standard or optional lipped 48HS2) to frame per ANSI specifications and adjust for proper deadbolt engagement.
6. Test lock operation including deadbolt throw, latch function, and visual indicators to verify proper function and make final adjustments as needed. Refer to manufacturer documentation for complete installation details and troubleshooting.
