Bobrick 1040-20 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Bobrick B-1040-42 latch assembly used for?
It's a factory replacement latch assembly from Bobrick, sold under model number 1040-42. It's the hardware part you order when the latch on a Bobrick washroom accessory has worn out, been vandalized, or no longer throws properly, rather than replacing the whole unit.
2) Is the Bobrick 1040-42 a complete accessory or just the latch hardware?
Just the latch hardware. The B-1040-42 is a replacement component, not a full washroom accessory, so the cabinet or door it mounts into needs to already be in place.
3) Do I need to order anything else with the Bobrick B-1040-42 latch assembly?
The 1040-42 ships as one model configuration, with no handing, finish, or size choices to specify. Order it by the Bobrick model number and match it to the unit you're repairing.
