Bobrick 822-45 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Bobrick soap dispensers does the B-822-45 container fit?
The 822-45 container and cap is the replacement soap bottle for Bobrick dispenser models B-822 and B-8226. Those are the two dispensers it's built for, so if you're replacing the bottle under a counter-mounted Bobrick unit, check the model stamped on the dispenser body first.
2) Does the Bobrick B-822-45 come with the cap, or is that ordered separately?
Cap is included. You get the translucent polyethylene bottle plus the black high-impact-resistant plastic cap as one part, so there's no second line item to add when a bottle cracks or a cap goes missing.
3) Is the Bobrick 822-45 soap bottle a whole new dispenser or just the tank?
Just the tank. It's the replacement liquid soap container and cap only, no pump, spout, or counter escutcheon. If the pump mechanism is what failed, this part won't fix it, you need the dispenser assembly instead.
4) How much soap does the Bobrick 822-45 replacement bottle hold?
Capacity is 34 fluid ounces, which is 1 liter, and it's sold as a single 1000 ml container with its cap. For a restroom refilled on a route, that's the number to plan against when you're deciding how many gallons of bulk soap to carry per building.
5) Can you see the soap level in the Bobrick 822-45 container without pulling it out?
The bottle is translucent, so the soap level reads through the wall of the container. That matters for the under-counter mounting these use: janitorial staff can check level at the bottle instead of pumping the dispenser to find out it's dry.
6) Will a shatter-resistant soap bottle hold up in a high-traffic public restroom?
The 822-45 bottle is shatter-resistant polyethylene rather than glass or rigid acrylic, and the cap is high-impact-resistant plastic. For a school, stadium, or airport restroom where the bottle gets knocked around during refills under the counter, that's the construction you want in a bulk-fill container.
