Bobrick 8221-95 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How much clearance do I need under the counter for the 8221-95 soap bottle?
The container measures 3-1/4 inches in diameter, so you need at least that much clear space in the vanity cabinet around the dispenser shank, plus room to unthread and lift the bottle for refilling. Tight sink bowls and drain traps directly behind the dispenser hole are the usual conflict.
2) I have a wall mounted Bobrick soap dispenser. Will this container fit it?
No. The 8221-95 serves counter mounted dispensers, specifically the B-8221 and B-82216. Wall mounted and surface mounted Bobrick soap dispensers use different tank assemblies, so ordering by the number stamped on your existing dispenser plate is the only reliable way to get the right bottle.
3) How much soap does the Bobrick 8221-95 replacement bottle hold?
Capacity is 20 fluid ounces (0.6 L). That is the same volume as the original bottle supplied with the B-8221 dispenser, so refill intervals on a restroom you already service will not change when you swap it in.
4) Does the Bobrick 8221-95 work with a manual push soap dispenser or an automatic one?
Manual. It is the tank for a hand-operated push-type counter mounted dispenser, dispensing liquid soap. Automatic sensor deck dispensers use their own bottle and valve assembly and will not take this container.
5) Can you see the soap level in the Bobrick 8221-95 container?
Yes. The bottle is translucent polyethylene, so a housekeeper can read the soap level at a glance without pulling the container off the dispenser. For a property manager running a route across multiple restrooms, that is the difference between checking every unit and topping off only the ones that need it.
6) Is the 8221-95 soap bottle going to crack if it gets dropped during a refill?
The container is shatter-resistant polyethylene, which is what you want in a high traffic restroom where the bottle gets handled by cleaning staff on every service round. It is a soft-walled plastic tank, not glass.
