Metallics BHC73PL – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Are these Metallics 5/8-11 bolts plated or galvanized for outdoor use?
No. The BHC73PL is plain steel, meaning bare uncoated carbon steel with no zinc or galvanized finish. Keep it to dry interior work. For wet locations, exterior runs, or anything in a corrosive environment you want a hot dip galvanized or zinc plated 5/8-11 bolt instead, or stainless.
2) How many bolts come in the Metallics BHC73PL pack?
Fifty bolts per pack. It is sold as a 50 piece box of 5/8-11 x 3 inch plain steel hex bolts, which is the way these move for repetitive strut, hanger, and structural attachment work rather than onesie replacements.
3) Do nuts and washers come with the Metallics BHC73PL bolts?
Hardware is bolts only, 50 hex bolts in 5/8-11 x 3 inch. Order 5/8-11 hex nuts and 5/8 flat or lock washers separately to make up a complete assembly.
4) What is the exact part number to order these Metallics hex bolts?
Order Metallics part BHC73PL. That number covers the 5/8-11 x 3 inch plain steel hex bolt in the 50 piece pack, and it is the only configuration the model offers.
