1) What grade are the Metallics JBHC63 bolts, and is that strong enough for strut and trapeze hangers?
These are Grade 2 steel bolts. Grade 2 is low-carbon, general-purpose hardware, which is what the trades normally use for strut channel, trapeze hangers, equipment mounting and similar electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. If a drawing or an anchor manufacturer calls out Grade 5 or Grade 8 for a structural or seismic connection, Grade 2 is not a substitute.
2) Do nuts and washers come with the JBHC63 hex bolts?
No. The JBHC63 is a jar of 50 hex bolts only, 3/8-16 x 5-1/2. Order 3/8-16 hex nuts and 3/8 flat or lock washers separately to complete the assembly.
3) Are the Metallics JBHC63 bolts Buy American or ARRA compliant for a government job?
