Blackburn FBG16-1 BONDING JUMPER 2000AMP 16IN LONG

The FBG16-1 is a flexible flat braid bonding jumper rated 2000 amp and 16 inches long, used to bond across joints, hinged panels, expansion fittings, or equipment enclosures where a rigid conductor can't take the movement. The braid is tin-plated copper, so it holds up better than bare copper in damp or corrosive locations.

One hole per terminal pad. It's a 1-hole flexible braid connector, so each end lands on a single bolt. If your busbar or enclosure pad is drilled for two-hole NEMA spacing, you'll need a 2-hole braid instead.

Overall cable length is 16 inches. Remember that a bonding jumper across a moving joint needs slack, so your hole-to-hole run should be comfortably shorter than 16 inches to leave the braid bowed rather than taut.

Flat flexible braid flexes repeatedly without work-hardening the way a solid or heavy stranded conductor does, and it lies tight against a flat pad or channel instead of needing a bend radius. For a fixed run with no movement, a stranded jumper and compression lugs is simpler and usually cheaper. For hinged doors, generator skids, transformer connections, or expansion fittings, the braid is the right call.

The FBG16-1 is the braid assembly with terminal pads only. Bolts, nuts, flat and lock washers, and any Belleville hardware for the bus connection are supplied separately, so add them to the order if the pads aren't landing on existing studs.

Tin plating on the copper braid is what makes that connection acceptable, since tin is the standard barrier between copper and aluminum and slows the galvanic action you'd get from bare copper. Use an oxide-inhibiting joint compound on the aluminum pad and wire-brush it before bolting up.
