Bridgeport Combination Type T Conduit Bodies - Aluminum with Cover and Gasket

The cover and the gasket both come with it. The T-CGC is sold as a complete assembly, so you are not chasing a separate cover kit or gasket to close it up on the job.

Pick by how many openings you need. A Type T gives you three outlets, so use it where a run continues straight through and a third leg branches off, or where you want a mid-run pull point with a spare opening. If you only need a single 90 degree turn, an L-body is the fitting: LB for a back-outlet turn (typical service entrance into a wall), LL and LR for left- and right-hand turns viewed from the cover, and a C body for a straight-through pull with no change of direction. The Bridgeport T-CGC covers the tee case, complete with cover and gasket.

Aluminum bodies like the Bridgeport T-CGC are used routinely on steel raceway indoors and in dry locations. Where you want to watch it is direct contact with dissimilar metal in wet, coastal, or chemically aggressive locations, where galvanic corrosion is the concern; in those spots electricians typically specify a malleable iron or PVC-coated body instead. Aluminum is also the lighter choice when you are hanging a lot of fittings overhead.

The gasket is what keeps water and dust out at the cover joint, so a gasketed body is what you want outdoors, in damp locations, in wash-down areas, and anywhere the run is exposed on a building exterior.
