1) Will a Bussmann JKS fuse fit a standard Class J fuse block or disconnect?
Yes. The JKS is built to Class J dimensions with bolted blade end x bolted blade end terminals, so it drops into standard Class J holders and Class J disconnect switches. Class J bodies are physically shorter than Class H/K or Class R of the same amp rating and the mounting is not interchangeable, so a Class J holder is what you need.
2) Is the JKS a time-delay fuse, and will it hold a motor inrush?
No. The JKS is a fast-acting, single-element LIMITRON fuse, so it clears overcurrents quickly and has no intentional time delay. On a motor circuit with normal starting inrush, a fast-acting fuse has to be seriously oversized to ride through, which defeats overload protection. For motors and transformers, use a Class J dual-element time-delay fuse instead, such as the Bussmann LPJ series. The JKS suits power panelboards, machinery disconnects and non-inductive loads.
3) Can I replace a Class R or Class H fuse in my disconnect with a JKS Class J?
Not directly. Class J has its own body length and bolted blade mounting dimensions, and it will not seat in a Class R or Class H clip. Going the other way is the point of Class J rejection: a Class J holder physically refuses a lower interrupting-rating fuse. To move to JKS you need equipment with Class J fuse blocks or a Class J disconnect.
4) What amp ratings does the Bussmann JKS Class J fuse come in?

It means there is no pop-out pin or visual open-fuse flag on the end cap. To tell whether a JKS has opened you meter it or use the holder's indicating light. If your maintenance crew relies on a visual blown-fuse indicator for quick troubleshooting, you want an indicating Class J fuse rather than the JKS.
6) Can I use a 600V JKS fuse on a 240V or 480V circuit?
Yes. A fuse voltage rating is a maximum, so a 600V JKS is fine on any ac system at or below 600 volts, including 208, 240 and 480. What you cannot do is use it above 600 Vac.
