Cahaba CA425V15 Undermount 17 in. Glazed Porcelain Oval Bathroom Sink

No. The CA425V15 undermount oval sink ships as the china basin only, so the pop-up drain assembly and the faucet are separate line items. Plan on ordering a pop-up with overflow porting, since the bowl has an overflow built in, plus a tailpiece and P-trap to reach the wall or floor stub.

There are none in the sink. The CA425V15 carries zero faucet holes, so the faucet drillings have to be cut in the countertop itself. Confirm the fabricator drills for your faucet's spread (single hole, 4 inch centerset, or 8 inch widespread) before the top is templated.

No. This oval china basin is rated for solid surface countertops only, meaning stone, quartz, or a cast solid surface that can be edge-polished at the cutout. Laminate and tile tops leave a raw, unsupported edge at the rim and are not an approved substrate for it. If the top is laminate, use a drop-in or vessel basin instead.

Rear. The drain sits toward the back of the bowl, which pushes the tailpiece and trap closer to the wall and leaves more usable cabinet space in front. Worth checking against your existing rough-in: if the old basin drained dead center, the trap arm may need to be re-cut to line up.

Vitreous china is the standard basin material for rental and hospitality work. It is fired clay with a fused glaze, so the surface resists chipping and staining and cleans with ordinary bathroom product rather than anything abrasive. The CA425V15 also has a curved inner basin so water sheets to the drain instead of pooling on a flat bottom, which keeps mineral ring buildup down in hard-water buildings.

The rim is unglazed, because it is meant to sit hidden under the countertop cutout with the stone edge polished over it. That is normal for an undermount basin and is another reason it cannot be used as a drop-in. The overflow is at the front of the bowl.

The basin weighs 15 lbs empty. That is light enough for standard undermount clips and epoxy or silicone bedding on a stone top, but the fabricator should still set mounting hardware rather than relying on adhesive alone, since a full bowl of water adds real load. No separate support frame is called for.

White is the finish on this 17 inch oval Cahaba basin, and it is the only option it is built in. Standard white pairs with the usual chrome, brushed nickel, and matte black trim without any color matching headaches across a building.
