Cahaba CA6113 Industrial Single Handle Pull-down Kitchen Faucet With Soap Dispenser

Both. The CA6113 is a single-hole faucet at its base, and an optional deck plate is included so it can cover a 3-hole sink deck as well. Leave the deck plate off for a single-hole install, fit it for 8-inch three-hole decks. Note the soap dispenser that comes with it needs its own hole, so on a 3-hole sink you can run the faucet through the center hole and the dispenser through one of the outer holes with the plate off, or use the plate and drill a separate dispenser hole.

The CA6113 is certified to NSF/ANSI 61, the standard covering drinking water system components and the materials that contact potable water. That is the certification stated for this faucet; no other listing or code approval is claimed for it.

Shipped with the faucet are the matching soap dispenser, the mounting hardware, and the optional deck plate. Supply connections to the stops are not part of the package, so plan on supply lines or risers sized to your angle stops.

The CA6113 delivers 1.8 gallons per minute at 80 psi. That sits under the common 2.2 GPM kitchen maximum and meets the 1.8 GPM figure specified in water-efficiency programs and California-style kitchen faucet rules, so it works where a reduced-flow kitchen faucet is called for while still handling pot filling and pan rinsing.

The body is solid brass rather than plastic or zinc, finished in polished chrome, and the valve is a ceramic disc cartridge, which is the cartridge type that resists dripping and is rebuildable rather than a rubber-seat washer design. Weight is 5 lbs, consistent with the brass construction.

The handle is a single lever, which can be worked with a forearm, wrist or closed fist rather than a tight grip. That is the handle type generally accepted for accessible lavatory and kitchen fixtures, as opposed to a knob or cross handle that requires twisting.

The pull-down head switches between aerated stream and full spray. Aerated is the softer everyday stream for filling and rinsing dishes; full spray gives you the broader, harder pattern for washing down the sink basin and scrubbing pans. One handle controls temperature and volume; the mode is selected at the head.

The finish is polished chrome and the color family is silver, so it reads with standard polished chrome trim rather than brushed nickel or stainless, which are duller and warmer. The included soap dispenser is finished to coordinate with the faucet, so you are not matching a dispenser separately.
