Houzer KEV-151-BN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) How far does the Houzer Kevali KEV-151 spout reach over the sink?
The spout centerline sits 8-7/8 inches out from the center of the neck, so on a standard single or double bowl the stream lands well into the basin rather than at the back wall. Beyond that, the XtendHose pull-down sprayer pulls out 20-plus inches, which is what lets you rinse the far corners, fill a bucket on the counter, or water plants off to the side.
2) What finishes does the Houzer KEV-151 Kevali kitchen faucet come in?
Five: polished chrome (KEV-151-PC), brushed nickel (KEV-151-BN), brushed nickel fingerprint free (KEV-151-BF), matte black (KEV-151-MB), and brushed brass (KEV-151-BB). If you are outfitting units where tenants leave marks on everything, the BF fingerprint-free brushed nickel is the one built for that; the plain BN is the match if your existing sinks and appliances are standard brushed nickel.
3) Is the Houzer Kevali KEV-151 faucet body metal or plastic?
Brass body, with a stainless steel body and spout construction called out by Houzer. That matters for rental and multi-family work where the faucet gets handled hard and hose-connected accessories get cranked on: metal at the deck and the spout, not a plastic shell over a cartridge.
4) Is the Houzer KEV-151 a single-hole faucet or does it need three holes?
Single handle, single control, in the traditional styling of the Kevali collection. One lever runs hot, cold, and volume, so it suits a single-hole deck or a single-hole sink ledge. If your existing sink is drilled for three holes, you will need a deck plate to cover the outer two.
5) What spray modes does the Houzer KEV-151 pull-down sprayer have?
Three modes off the sprayhead: spray, stream, and a sweep hand spray. Stream for filling, spray for rinsing dishes, sweep for pushing debris down the bowl toward the drain. The head itself is lightweight, which is the difference between a sprayer that docks back cleanly every time and one that sags out of the neck after a year.
6) How do I clear a Houzer Kevali faucet that has lost pressure from hard water?
Pull the aerator. The KEV-151 uses Houzer's AeroFlo removable aerator, so it unscrews for descaling and goes back in without replacing the sprayhead. On hard-water buildings that is the routine service call, and it is a five-minute job rather than a faucet swap.
