Houzer SOMPD-669 Soma Series Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet

Houzer SOMPD-669 Soma pull-down kitchen faucet adds elegance and grace to the heart of your home. The Soma features a lightweight and ergonomic pull-down hand spray on a high-profile, yet gently curved spout design flowing into a warm cone base. The hand spray includes a removable and easy-to-clean AeroFlo aerator which provides a 1.75 GPM flow. Combine this with the versatility of a dual-function stream or wide-angle spray and achieve a zen-inspired balance of aesthetics and utility. This easy-to-grip, lightweight hand spray is connected to our UltraBraid nylon hoses, allowing the hand spray to pulls out 20+ inches for extra-long reach. Easily fill pots or cleaning buckets outside of your sink with the durability and flexibility of XtendHose technology. Houzer’s proprietary quick-connect interlock system and oversized locknut provide easy installation and durability to last for the lifetime of the faucet. The Soma’s gracefully slim water control handle is precision-engineered for ultra-smooth forward action that stops at 90° pointing up, preventing it from hitting the backsplash. Fitted with Houzer’s CeraDox Ceramic disc cartridge guarantees a lifetime of smooth and leak-proof operation. The entire body, spout and handle of the Soma are constructed of solid brass from start to finish in our ISO-certified Houzer factory in Israel. More than just a brand name, as a manufacturer we have over 70 years of experience in faucet craftsmanship. This gives Houzer the confidence to stand by our Limited Lifetime Warranty on all our faucets. Houzer SOMPD-669-BN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the Soma SOMPD-669 spout reach over a large or double-bowl sink?
The spout measures 8-1/4 inches from the middle of the spout to the middle of the neck, so the outlet sits roughly that far out over the bowl. On top of that the pull-down hand spray extends 20-plus inches on Houzer's XtendHose braided nylon hose, which is enough to reach the far corners of a wide double bowl and to fill a bucket sitting on the counter or floor beside the sink.
2) Is the Houzer Soma faucet ADA compliant and code-legal for a commercial or institutional kitchen?
ADA compliant, yes, and the faucet is ICC certified to meet or exceed US state and federal plumbing codes and low lead safety standards. Single-lever operation is what carries the ADA point. Note that it does carry a Prop 65 notice for California.
3) Does the Houzer SOMPD-669 handle clear a backsplash?
That was designed in. The Soma's slim water control handle moves forward and stops at 90 degrees pointing up, with limited backward travel so it does not strike the backsplash. That matters on a sink set tight against a wall or on an undermount with a short deck behind the faucet hole.
4) What flow rate does the Houzer Soma pull-down faucet deliver, and can the aerator be cleaned?
1.75 GPM through the AeroFlo aerator in the hand spray, and the aerator is removable so you can pull it and clear scale or debris without replacing the sprayhead. In hard-water buildings that is the maintenance item that usually decides how a faucet ages.
5) Is the Houzer SOMPD-669 solid brass or plastic-bodied?
Solid brass through the body, spout, and handle, with a CeraDox ceramic disc cartridge controlling the water. For a rental or multi-family kitchen that is the difference between a faucet you rebuild with a cartridge and one you throw away.
6) Is the Houzer Soma faucet hard to install in an existing sink deck?
Houzer uses a quick-connect interlock system and an oversized locknut, so the supply connections snap together and the faucet tightens down from below without specialty tooling. Full step-by-step instructions and a dimensioned spec sheet are published for the SOMPD-669, which is what you want in hand before you cut or confirm the deck hole.
7) How many spray functions does the Soma SOMPD-669 sprayhead have?
The pull-down hand spray gives you spray, stream, and sweep, switched at the head. Stream for filling, wide-angle spray for rinsing produce or dishes. The head is deliberately light so it is easy to hold one-handed while scrubbing.
8) Where is the Houzer Soma faucet made?
Israel, in Houzer's own ISO-certified faucet factory. Houzer builds these rather than rebranding them, which is worth knowing if you need cartridge and sprayhead parts to stay available across a fleet of identical kitchens.
