The Sentinel features a lightweight and ergonomic pull-down hand spray on a high-profile, yet gently curved spout design flowing into a warm cylindrical base. The hand spray includes a removable and easy-to-clean AeroFlo aerator which provides an environment-friendly 1.75 GPM flow. Combine this with the versatility of a dual-function stream or wide-angle spray and achieve a zen-inspired balance of aesthetics and utility. This easy-to-grip, lightweight hand spray is connected to our UltraBraid nylon hoses, allowing the hand spray to pulls out 20+ inches for extra-long reach. Easily fill pots or cleaning buckets outside of your sink with the durability and flexibility of XtendHose technology. Houzer’s proprietary quick-connect interlock system and oversized locknut provide easy installation and durability to last for the lifetime of the faucet. The Sentinel’s slender and stylish water control handle is designed to glide forward for ultra-smooth water control, yet precision-engineered with limited 15° rear action to prevent it from hitting the backsplash. Fitted with our CeraDox Ceramic disc cartridge, Houzer guarantees a lifetime of reliable leak-proof operation. Houzer SENPD-466-BN – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will the SENPD-466 spout reach the center of a large single-bowl sink?
The spout projects 8-1/4 inches from the base, which centers well over most single-bowl kitchen sinks when the faucet sits at the standard rear deck hole. Beyond that, the pull-down hand spray extends 20+ inches on Houzer's UltraBraid nylon XtendHose, so you can reach every corner of a large bowl or fill a bucket sitting on the counter outside the sink.
2) Is the Houzer Sentinel kitchen faucet ADA compliant for a commercial or multi-family project?
Yes, the SENPD-466 Sentinel is ADA compliant, and it is ICC certified to meet or exceed US state and federal plumbing codes and low lead safety standards. That combination is what a facilities or institutional buyer usually needs on a break-room or apartment kitchen spec. The single lever is operable with a closed fist, which is the practical reason it qualifies.
3) What is the hot water shut-off switch on the Sentinel faucet for?
The Sentinel has a mini switch that shuts off hot water instantly, so the faucet can only deliver cold until it is switched back. Landlords and schools use it to keep small children from scalding themselves, caregivers use it in senior housing, and it also covers religious and cultural use cases where hot water needs to be isolated. It is the feature that separates the Sentinel from a standard single-handle pull-down.
4) Will the Sentinel handle hit my backsplash when I turn the water on?
No. The water control handle on the SENPD-466 glides forward rather than back, and rear travel is limited to 15 degrees specifically so it clears the backsplash. That makes it workable on sinks set close to a wall or with a tall tile backsplash where a rear-pivot lever would bind.
5) What is the flow rate on the Houzer SENPD-466, and can I change the spray pattern?
Flow is 1.75 GPM through the removable AeroFlo aerator in the hand spray, which also pops out for cleaning when it scales up. The spray is dual function: an aerated stream for filling and a wide-angle spray for rinsing, switched at the hand spray itself.
6) What finishes does the Houzer Sentinel SENPD-466 pull-down faucet come in?
Three finishes: Brushed Nickel (SENPD-466-BN), Oil Rubbed Bronze (SENPD-466-OB), and Polished Chrome (SENPD-466-PC). If you are standardizing a building, order by that suffix so every unit matches, and pair it with sink accessories in the same family finish.
7) Is the Houzer Sentinel faucet solid brass or plastic-bodied?
Body, spout and handle are all solid brass, made in Houzer's ISO-certified factory in Israel. Inside, water control runs through a CeraDox ceramic disc cartridge. For a rental turn or a high-use commercial kitchen, that brass body is the difference from a zinc or plastic-shell faucet that loosens at the deck.
8) How hard is the SENPD-466 to install under a sink with tight cabinet access?
Houzer uses a quick-connect interlock system and an oversized locknut on the Sentinel, so the supply connections snap together and the faucet is secured from below with a single large nut instead of fiddly side screws. Houzer publishes installation instructions and a spec sheet for the SENPD-466, worth pulling before you cut in so you can confirm hole size and deck thickness against the sink or countertop you have.
9) Does the Houzer Sentinel faucet carry a Prop 65 notice?
Yes, the SENPD-466 carries a California Proposition 65 warning. If you are buying for a job in California, that notice needs to pass through to the end user. It is also ICC certified against low lead safety standards.
