1) Will the Cahaba Juniper 36 in. vanity fit a 36 inch rough opening?
Plan on a full 36 inches of wall width. The Juniper cabinet itself is 35 inches wide and 21 inches deep, but the engineered stone top overhangs to 36 inches, so the finished footprint is 36 x 21 inches. That means a 36 inch alcove is a zero-clearance fit with no room for shims or out-of-square walls. If you're setting it between two side walls, measure at the top and the floor before ordering.
2) Does the Cahaba Juniper 36 vanity come with the sink and countertop, or do I buy those separately?
Both are in the box. The Juniper 36 ships with the engineered stone top in Yves White, 3/4 inch thick, and the undermount ceramic basin already set in it, pre-drilled for the faucet. The cabinet comes pre-assembled. What is not included is mounting hardware, so pick up the wall anchors or cleat screws for your wall type, plus the faucet, drain and P-trap.
3) Will the Cahaba Juniper 36 replace a standard 36 inch vanity in a remodel?
In most cases the swap works on footprint: 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 34-1/2 inches to the top of the counter, which is comfort height rather than the older 32 inch standard vanities. Two things to check before you demo. The old plumbing has to reach a rear drain location, and the existing faucet only carries over if it's a widespread set for 3 holes on 8 inch centers. A single-hole faucet off the old top will not work here.
4) Will the drain and P-trap clear the drawers on the Cahaba Juniper 36 vanity?
The basin drain is at the rear of the bowl, which pushes the trap back toward the wall and out of the drawer boxes. The bowl is 7-1/2 inches deep and sits under a top that's 21 inches deep, so the supply stub-outs and trap arm land behind the drawer runs. Rough-in your waste as close to the wall as the trap allows.
5) What finishes does the Cahaba Juniper 36 in. vanity come in, and do I have to pick a hardware finish?
Two cabinet colors: Charcoal Gray and Mint Julep. The hardware finish is not a separate choice, because both sets ship in the carton, brushed gold and brushed nickel. Install whichever matches the faucet and the rest of the room, and keep the other set. That's useful if you're spec'ing several bathrooms and the trim packages differ.
6) Is a backsplash included with the Cahaba Juniper 36 vanity, and what about the ends?
A matching 3 inch backsplash comes with it, so the wall behind the top is covered out of the box. The sidesplash is not: if the vanity dies into a side wall and you want the end finished, that's the coordinating CASSJUN21 sidesplash, ordered separately.
