The Cal-Royal CAL101 is a Grade 1 extra heavy duty dormitory lock from the Calypso Series, engineered with a dead locking latch bolt operated by lever from either side except when the outside lever is locked by key or push button on the inside lever. Key in the outside lever locks or unlocks the outside lever, and the outside key releases the push button when locked from inside; rotating the inside lever or closing the door also releases the push button. Designed for doors 1-3/8" to 2" thick with a 2-3/4" backset, this lockset meets or exceeds BHMA / ANSI A156.2 Series 4000 Grade 1 requirements and carries an ANSI F90 function designation, making it suitable for demanding commercial and institutional environments.
