Camden CX-EPD-1289L Electric Strike - Universal Surface Mount Rim Strike With Preload, 12/24 VAC/DC, Fail Safe/Secure, Grade 1
The Camden CX-EPD1289L is a Grade-1 surface-mounted preload rim strike designed for Pullman latches (typically used in exit devices). It introduces a unique preload mechanism that applies pressure to the strike keeper, helping prevent unintentional release under pressures like wind, air flow, or door misalignment. This strike is field-selectable for 12V / 24V AC or DC, and can be configured for fail-safe or fail-secure operation. It includes a plug-in latch monitor assembly, stainless steel housing, “no-cut” surface mounting, a metal mounting jig, and UL fire/security listings when installed in the fail-secure mode
It is ideal for retrofitting existing doors with exit devices, especially where offset alignment, pressure loading, or high-performance security is required.
