That leaves room for a device plus two 12 AWG cables and a ground in an 18 cubic inch box. Run the fill count for your own conductor count before you commit on a tight junction.
2) What is the difference between the Carlon SNO-18 and the SNO18-6R?
They are the same 1-gang 18 cubic inch blue PVC box in two ordering forms: the SNO-18 is the non nail-on version and the SNO18-6R is the nail-on version. Electricians framing new walls order the nail-on. Pick by how you intend to secure it to the stud.
