Two trade sizes: 1/2 inch (part E994DRL) and 3/4 inch (part E994ERL). The 3/4 inch is sold as a 14 piece loose pack, the 1/2 inch as a loose pack. Both are gray Schedule 40 rigid non-metallic fittings. Match the fitting trade size to the conduit trade size, not to the conduit outside diameter.
2) Will a Carlon E994 offset fitting work with Schedule 80 conduit?
The E994 offset is made for Schedule 40 PVC conduit. Schedule 80 has the same outside diameter at a given trade size, so it will physically socket, but the fitting itself is a Schedule 40 rated part. For an installation specified Schedule 80 throughout, such as exposed areas subject to physical damage, use a Schedule 80 rated fitting instead.
3) How do Carlon E994 PVC offset fittings attach to the conduit?
They are solvent weld socket fittings for rigid non-metallic PVC conduit. You will need PVC conduit cement and a clean, deburred, square cut on the conduit end. No cement or primer is supplied with the fitting, so order that separately if it is not already on the truck.
4) Will the gray Carlon offset fitting match the conduit already installed in my building?
Gray is the standard color for Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit and fittings, so the E994 will match typical existing gray conduit runs. If your facility is running white plumbing PVC or orange telecom duct, that is different material and the E994 is not the fitting for it.
