OATEY 265068 Cherne® 6 in.- 8 in. Muni-Ball® Plug 1-1/2 in. Bypass

The Cherne Muni-Ball 265068 is a single plug that covers 6 in. through 8 in. (150-200 mm) lines. Deflated it measures 5 in. (125 mm) diameter by 13 in. (330 mm) long, so it passes through a 6 in. opening before you inflate it. Because it's natural rubber with good expansion and memory, it also seals out-of-round pipe, not just true-round.

Inflate to 35 psi (2,4 bar). Once set, the 265068 holds a maximum back pressure of 17 psi (1,2 bar), which is 40 ft (12 M) of head. Anything beyond that head and you need a different plugging method. Inflation is through a 1/4 in. threaded valve.

The bypass is a 1-1/2 in. female port straight through the plug, so flow can be routed or drained past the plug while it stays inflated. That's what you want when the line is live and you can't dead-end it, or when you need to relieve upstream head before deflating. If you want a solid block with no through-port, order a Muni-Ball without the bypass instead.
