If your openings are running a different manufacturer's device, this is the wrong kit; the motor and chassis geometry are matched to the Sargent 80 chassis, not a universal fit.
2) Do I have to cut down the MLRK1-SGT kit for a 36 inch or 48 inch exit device?
Yes. The kit covers 36 inch and 48 inch devices, and it requires a cutdown to the edge of the push pad on those units. Plan that cut into the install time. If your device sits at another width, the stated cutdown spec does not cover it.
