The 93LDM100C measures from 2 inches out to 100 feet (5.1 cm to 30.5 m). Accuracy is +/- 1/16 inch out to 33 feet and +/- 1/8 inch beyond that to 100 feet. For room layout, conduit runs, and drywall takeoffs inside a typical commercial space that is well inside the tight band. If you are shooting across a warehouse bay longer than 100 feet, this is not the tool.
2) Can I measure from the back edge of the tool when I push it into a corner?
Yes. The measuring reference point on the 93LDM100C can be switched between the top and the bottom of the unit, so you can butt the base into a corner or against a wall and read from there, or hook it over an edge and measure from the top. That saves adding or subtracting the tool's own 4.7 inch body length on every shot.
3) Can the 93LDM100C measure in feet and inches, or is it metric only?
Both. The Klein 93LDM100C toggles between inches, feet and inches, and meters, and it is built to metric and SAE measurement standards. Contractors working off imperial drawings can leave it in feet-and-inches; a shop working to metric prints can switch without converting by hand.
4) Is this Klein laser measure rated for dusty or wet jobsite conditions?
The 93LDM100C carries an IP54 rating, so it handles dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. That covers an active framing or rough-in site. It is not an immersion rating, so do not submerge it or leave it standing in water.
