Two blade lengths: 16-foot (model 9516) and 25-foot (model 9525). Both use the same 1-1/8 inch wide nylon-coated steel blade and the same compact 5-point reinforced housing, so the only decision is reach. The 25-foot is the usual pick for commercial layout and stud runs; the 16-foot keeps the case smaller on a belt for service and device work.
2) Can I use this Klein tape measure around live electrical panels?
No. The 9516 and 9525 tape measures are not insulated and must not be used on live circuits. The blade is steel, so treat it as a conductor: de-energize before measuring inside gear or a panel enclosure. Klein also calls for eye protection during use.

The case is ABS plastic with 5-point reinforcement for impact resistance, and the steel blade carries a nylon coating to resist wear and abrasion in dirty conditions.
