The 2922NM takes cord from 0.500 inch (12.7mm) up to 0.750 inch (19.0mm) outside diameter. Measure the jacket OD of the cord, not the conductor size. Anything below 1/2 inch will not get proper grip from the gland nut, and anything over 3/4 inch won't seat.
