Blackburn L70B – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What wire sizes does the Blackburn L70B lug accept?
The L70B terminal lug takes conductors from 14 AWG up to 4 AWG, covering both 4 stranded and 4 solid at the large end. If your run is larger than 4 AWG, this is the wrong lug and you need to step up to a bigger frame size.
2) Is the Blackburn L70B lug copper, and can I use it on aluminum conductor?
It is a copper-body terminal lug, so specify it for copper conductor. Copper-only connectors are not rated for aluminum wire; for aluminum runs you want a dual-rated AL9CU connector instead.
3) Is the Blackburn L70B UL listed?
Yes. The L70B carries UL file E3060 as a wire and cable connector.
4) Does the L70B come as a single lug or in a pack?
It sells as one lug, each. Order one per conductor termination you need to make, plus spares.
5) What is the Blackburn part number for this copper terminal lug, and where is it made?
Manufacturer part number is L70B, a Blackburn mechanical wire lug made in Mexico.
