OATEY P9121B Dearborn® 1-1/2" x 21" Center to Center, Hi-Line/ Slip Joint Combination w/ Baffle Tee

The P9121B is a 1-1/2 inch combination waste and overflow tee with 21 inch center-to-center spacing between the overflow inlet and the waste outlet. It uses slip joint connections, so it mates to standard 1-1/2 inch slip joint tubing with a nut and washer at each joint. If your tub rough-in needs a different center-to-center run, this one will not close the gap.

Both. The P9121B is a Hi-Line/slip joint combination, so the same fitting works whether the tub drain assembly you are tying into uses a Hi-Line connection or a conventional slip joint. That is the point of the combination body: one part covers two connection styles, which is why maintenance crews keep it on the truck instead of stocking two tees.

It meets ASTM F 409, the standard covering thermoplastic tubular drain fittings, and it is IAPMO listed. Those two together are what most inspectors and spec writers look for on a plastic tub waste and overflow, so it will satisfy a job that calls for listed tubular DWV fittings.

It is polypropylene, not metal. Polypropylene will not corrode or pit the way a brass or tubular chrome waste arm can, and it takes drain cleaner chemistry without degrading, which is the usual reason property managers replace tub wastes in the first place. The finish is white. If your installation is exposed and has to match chrome trim, this is the wrong look, it is meant for concealed work behind the tub wall.
