Delaney Hardware BD0003 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does a barn door flat track connector plate actually do?
A connector plate joins two lengths of flat barn door track end to end so they behave as one continuous run. You need one when a single track isn't long enough for the opening, most often on wide double-door or bypass installs where two sticks of track get spliced. The Delaney connector plate is the splice hardware only, not the track, hangers, or rollers.
2) Does the Delaney connector plate come with the track, or do I order that separately?
Separately. The connector plate is sold on its own as a splice part in Black, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, or Satin Nickel. Track, hangers, wall mounts, floor guide, and door stops all get ordered as their own items.
3) I'm a property manager standardizing barn door hardware across units. Can I get this splice plate in the same finish as the rest of the hardware?
The finish range is Black (US19), Oil-Rubbed Bronze (US10B), and Satin Nickel (US15), which are the three most common barn door hardware finishes, so a fleet already running any of those can be matched. If your existing openings use a finish outside those three, the plate won't match.
