Delaney Hardware 504052 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the Delaney 504052 shower rod flange, and does it come with the rod?
It's the wall-mount flange that anchors a shower rod end, sold on its own as model 504052 in Delaney's polished chrome. No rod is part of it, so if you're replacing a broken or corroded mount you buy the flange; if you're doing a fresh install you also need the rod itself.
2) Will the polished chrome finish on this Delaney flange match my existing chrome shower rod and bath fittings?
The flange is finished in US26 polished chrome, the bright mirror chrome used across standard bath trim. It will read as a match next to other US26 polished chrome rods, escutcheons and faucet trim. It will not match US26D satin chrome, which is the brushed version, nor nickel or brushed nickel.
3) Is this Delaney shower rod flange suitable for a commercial or hotel bathroom, or residential only?
Delaney classes the 504052 flange as residential. For apartments, condos and single-family bathrooms it's the right grade. For high-traffic commercial washrooms, hotel guest baths or institutional shower rooms, spec a heavy-duty commercial shower rod bracket rather than this one.
4) What does exposed screw mean on this shower rod flange?
Exposed screw means the mounting fasteners go through the visible face of the flange rather than hiding behind a snap-on cover. That makes install and later removal straightforward with a screwdriver, but the screw heads stay in view. If you want the fasteners concealed, you want a concealed-screw flange instead.
5) I'm a property manager replacing shower rod mounts across a building. Can I order this flange in multiples and standardize?
Yes. The 504052 is a single-model, single-finish item, polished chrome only, so every unit you order looks the same across every unit you turn. That's the point of standardizing on it: one part number for maintenance stock instead of chasing whatever flange came with each rod. Order flanges in pairs, one per rod end.
