Delta Breez VFRU-21-02DA – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the Delta Breez 4 inch duct come with a backdraft damper or do I have to buy one separately?
The damper is included. The VFRU-21-02DA ships as a 4 inch plastic duct with the damper built in, so you are not sourcing a separate flapper or damper collar for the fan outlet.
2) I'm a property manager replacing a cracked damper housing on a Breez GreenBuilder bath fan. Is this the right replacement part?
Yes, for GBR and ITG housings. The VFRU-21-02DA is the factory 4 inch plastic duct with damper used across those Delta Breez BreezGreenBuilder ventilation fans, so it is a direct swap for a broken or missing duct and damper rather than a universal aftermarket fitting.
3) Is the Delta Breez VFRU-21-02DA metal or plastic?
Plastic. The duct body and the integral damper are plastic, which is what Delta supplies on the GBR and ITG bath fan housings. If your job spec calls for metal duct, that applies to the run downstream, not this outlet fitting.
4) Do I still need flex or rigid duct for the run if I buy this part?
Yes. This is the 4 inch outlet duct and damper that attaches at the fan; the duct run to the exterior termination and the roof or wall cap are separate items you order to suit the route.
