The VFRU-21-36HS humidity sensing module is built for the BreezElite ELT80-110H, ELT80-110HLED, ELT80-110MH and ELT80-110MHLED fans. Those four models are the ones it plugs into, so if the fan on the job is a different Breez family the module is the wrong part. If you are replacing a failed sensor board on one of those units, this is the matching function box rather than a whole new fan.
2) Is the Delta Breez humidity sensor a whole fan or just the control module?
It is the function box only, the humidity sensing control module that fits the ELT80-110 series BreezElite fans. There is no housing, motor or blower in the box. Order it when the fan body is fine and you need the humidity sensing function, and order the complete ELT80-110H or ELT80-110MH fan when the unit itself is being replaced.
3) Does the Delta Breez VFRU-21-36HS humidity sensor keep the fan Energy Star qualified?
Energy Star applies to this BreezElite humidity sensing module, so specifying it on an ELT80-110 series fan does not take the assembly outside the program. That matters on multi-family and institutional work where the bath exhaust has to appear on an energy compliance schedule.
