Deltana 98C2015-15 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is this Deltana shelf suitable for a commercial restroom or hotel bath?
Deltana lists the 98C2015 as a residential product. For a public or high-traffic commercial restroom, specify a commercial-grade washroom accessory line instead; use the 98C Classic shelf in homes, condo units, and guest baths where the glass shelf is appropriate.
2) What finishes does the Deltana 98C Classic 20 inch glass shelf come in?
Three finishes: Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, and Oil Rubbed Bronze. Pick the one that matches the faucet and towel bars already in the bath, since the brackets are the visible part of the assembly.
3) Is the 98C2015 shelf bracket solid brass or plated zinc?
Solid brass. Both the material and substrate on the 98C2015 are brass, not a zinc or steel casting with a brass-look plating, which is why it holds up better in a humid bath than die-cast hardware.
4) I need a matching towel bar and ring for this shelf. Will other Deltana pieces match?
Stay inside Deltana's 98C Classic series and specify the same finish (Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, or Oil Rubbed Bronze) across the towel bar, ring, and paper holder. Matching the series matters as much as the finish, since bracket shape and projection differ between Deltana accessory lines.
5) Is the glass on the Deltana 98C2015 clear or frosted?
Frosted. The 98C2015 uses a frosted glass panel, which hides water spots and fingerprints better than clear glass on a shelf over a sink.
6) Does the 98C2015 come in a shorter length than 20 inches?
The 98C2015 itself is the 20 inch shelf only, and finish is the only choice on it. For a narrower wall, look at the shorter length in Deltana's 98C Classic glass shelf range rather than trying to cut the glass.
