As supplied, the Clarendon CL502EVC privacy lever is a 2-3/4 inch backset lock. A 2-3/8 inch backset is sold separately, so if your existing cross-bore centers are 2-3/8 inches off the edge you need that separate latch rather than the standard one.

No handing to specify. The CL502EVC is universal, so one lock covers both left and right hand doors. That makes it simpler to stock than a handed lever like the Baldwin Estate 5103 half dummy, which is sold as separate left and right hand parts.

It ships with an ANSI 4-7/8 x 1-1/4 inch strike and a 1/2 inch latch throw, so it drops straight into a commercial frame already prepped for ANSI strike cutouts. On a residential frame with a small T-strike you will need to mortise the jamb for the ANSI plate.
