Deltana GL002-12ATK – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size ceiling opening or space does the Deltana GL002-12ATK flush ceiling lamp need?
The GL002-12ATK is a 12 inch diameter flush ceiling lamp with an overall footprint of 14-1/4 x 6-5/8 inches. Plan for the full 14-1/4 inch dimension when you are laying it out near a wall, beam, or a second fixture, since the trim is wider than the 12 inch body.
2) Is the Deltana GL002-12ATK rated for commercial corridors or lobbies?
No. Deltana lists the GL002-12ATK as a residential fixture, so for a commercial corridor, stairwell, or lobby you should be specifying a commercial-rated luminaire instead. It suits apartments, condo units, and single-family interiors.
3) What is the Deltana GL002-12ATK ceiling lamp made of?
Resin, both the body and the substrate. That keeps the fixture light for overhead mounting and means it will not corrode or rust the way a plated metal shade can in a humid room. Resin does not take a metal plating, so the finish is the resin itself rather than a brass or bronze coating.
4) Does the Deltana GL002-12ATK come in more than one finish or size?
One configuration only: the 12 inch size in the Resin finish. If you need a different diameter to match other fixtures in the unit, you are looking at a different model in Deltana's Resin Flush Ceiling Lamp series, not an option on this one.
5) I need to outfit several apartments with the same ceiling light. Can I standardize on the Deltana GL002-12ATK?
Worth knowing before you commit to a fleet: the GL002-12ATK is flagged as clearance. If you are matching fixtures across a group of units, buy the full count for the whole project at once rather than planning to come back for more later in the turn cycle.
6) Is the Deltana GL002-12ATK a flush mount or a semi-flush ceiling fixture?
It is a flush ceiling lamp, so it mounts tight to the ceiling with no downrod or stem. That is the type to use in low-ceiling rooms, closets, hallways, and anywhere a pendant or semi-flush drop would be in the way of a door swing or head height.
