Detex 100330 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What exactly is the Detex 100330 part?
The Detex 100330 is the 96 Strike, a service part for commercial Detex exit devices. It is the strike the device latches into, not the exit device itself, so ordering it gets you the strike only. Model number to specify is 100330.
2) Can I order the Detex 100330 96 Strike on its own without replacing the whole exit device?
Yes. It is sold as a standalone replacement part, which is the point of it: when the original strike is worn, bent or missing, you swap the strike and leave the device in place. That keeps a damaged exit opening back in service without pulling the whole assembly off the door.
3) Which Detex exit devices does the 100330 strike fit?
It fits Detex exit device configurations that call for a 96 Strike. The practical check before ordering is the parts breakdown for your device: if the strike is listed as the 96, the 100330 is the direct replacement. If your device calls out a different strike number, this one is not the match.
4) Is the Detex 100330 a genuine Detex part or an aftermarket copy?
It is factory-sourced from Detex, so it is the same strike that ships with the exit device assemblies it serves. For a locksmith or maintenance tech matching an existing Detex opening, that means no filing or re-prepping the frame to make an off-brand strike line up.
5) Will the 100330 strike work on a residential door?
It is a commercial-duty part, built for Detex exit devices on commercial openings such as offices, schools, healthcare, retail, warehouses, government buildings and multi-tenant residential common doors. A single-family residential door normally has no exit device to strike against, so this is the wrong part for that job.
6) Are there different versions or finishes of the Detex 100330 to choose from?
No options to specify. The 100330 96 Strike is a single configuration, ordered by that model number alone, so there is no handing, size or finish selection to get wrong on the order.
How fast can I get the Detex 100330 delivered?
