No. For 100 locks or fewer you can run the Gateway in USB mode straight to a PC and skip network drops entirely. Routers never need a drop at all, they run ZigBee wireless and only need power. Ethernet is an option on the Gateway if you'd rather put it on the network.
5) Does the 75428-000-01 come with a wall mounting bracket?
Yes, the wall mount kit includes the bracket. The E-Plex unit is also offered as a desktop kit, so if you're putting it on a server room shelf rather than a wall, order the desktop version instead.
