1) How do you mount a DynaLock maglock armature on an all-glass door with no top rail?
That is what the DynaLock 4801 glass door bracket is for. On a frameless glass door there is no rail to through-bolt the armature into, so the bracket clamps onto the glass itself and gives the armature a solid mounting surface. Rubber and metal shims are part of the assembly to protect the glass as it is tightened down. The 4801 is the bracket matched to the 3101 Series magnetic lock.
2) Does the 4801 bracket work with any DynaLock magnetic lock, or only the 3101?

5) Do I need a glass door bracket if my glass door has a metal top rail?
No. A rail gives you something to drill and through-bolt the armature into, which is the normal mounting method. The 4801 bracket exists for the case where there is no top rail at all, so the armature has to be clamped to the glass. Buying it for a railed door adds a part you do not need.
6) How many DynaLock 4801 brackets do I need for a pair of glass doors?
One per leaf. Each door gets its own maglock and armature, so a pair of frameless glass doors takes two 3101 Series locks and two 4801 brackets. Order in pairs for double entries and confirm both leaves are the same glass thickness, since the bracket covers 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4 inch but each one is shimmed to the glass it is installed on.
