B-Line DK30SS Eaton series bolt on accessories, NEMA 4X, Offers protection from water and dust, Stainless steel, Wall mounting, Bolt-on accessories, Fits enclosures 30" wide, Drop shield kit, 14 gauge

The DK30SS is rated NEMA 4X itself and is UL Listed, so it is built to sit on a wash-down or outdoor enclosure without giving up water and dust protection. It bolts on, so the holes are prepped for the matching enclosure rather than drilled on site.

Stainless steel, 14 gauge. That matters if the enclosure is outdoors, in a food plant, or anywhere it gets hosed down or hit with chemicals, since a painted carbon steel shield is the part that rusts first and streaks the box below it.

It is a hood that bolts across the top of a wall-mounted enclosure and throws falling water, condensation drip, and settling dust out past the door seam instead of letting it run down the face and pool at the gasket. The DK30SS does that job on a 30 inch wide wall-mount box and is rated for water and dust protection. It is not a substitute for a proper enclosure gasket, it protects it.

The shield measures .75 inch in height and .75 inch in depth, across a 30 inch width. So it adds well under an inch to the profile, which keeps it clear of conduit runs, adjacent boxes, and walkway clearances above a wall-mounted enclosure.

It is catalogued by Eaton as a fiberglass series accessory, so it is intended for the fiberglass wall-mount enclosure line at 30 inches wide, even though the shield itself is stainless steel. Match it to the 30 inch enclosure width and the bolt-on holes line up.

Order DK30SS. That is the Eaton B-Line stainless steel drop shield kit for a 30 inch wide wall-mount enclosure, NEMA 4X and UL Listed. It is a single configuration, so there are no finish or size options to specify.

One person. The kit weighs 3.086 lb, so it is a hold-it-in-place-and-run-the-bolts job on a wall-mounted enclosure. No lifting gear and no second set of hands needed.
