1) How many Cat6 or Cat6A cables can a B-Line BCH64CW 4-inch J-hook hold?
The BCH64CW 4 inch J-hook is rated for up to 185 CAT6 cables or 98 CAT6A. On smaller cable it carries up to 300 4-pair UTP Cat 5e, or 25 Cat 5e / 2-strand fiber optic runs. Fill counts assume the bundle stays within the hook's 30 lb load capacity.
2) Is the BCH64CW J-hook a wall mount or does it clamp to a beam or rod?
Wall mount. The BCH64CW is the wall-mount configuration of the B-Line datacomm J-hook, so it fastens flat to a wall, stud, or other flat surface rather than clipping to a flange, threaded rod, or beam. If you are running cable along structure overhead, you need the beam clamp or rod attachment version of the hook instead.
3) Is the white B-Line cable hook UL listed for use in a plenum ceiling space?
The BCH64CW carries a UL/CUL listing. Whether a given ceiling cavity is treated as a plenum is a code call on your building, so check the AHJ requirement for the space before committing to a support layout.
4) Does the BCH64CW come as a single hook or a multi-hook assembly?
