1) Can the Eaton B-Line ADI-25FL drop-in anchor be used in block or hollow masonry?
No. The ADI-25FL is a steel drop-in anchor intended for solid concrete only. In hollow block or brick you need an anchor made for hollow base material, such as a toggle or a sleeve anchor rated for hollow masonry. Putting a drop-in in a void gives you no expansion and no hold.
2) Is the B-Line ADI-25FL drop-in anchor UL Listed for electrical support work?
The ADI-25FL carries a UL Listing. That matters on inspected commercial electrical jobs where conduit, cable tray and strut supports into concrete have to be made with listed hardware.
3) How deep do I have to drill for the B-Line ADI-25FL anchor?
Plan the hole for the full 1 in anchor length, since a drop-in has to bottom out in the hole to be set properly and sit flush with the concrete surface. Drill to at least that depth plus room for dust, then blow the hole clean before setting.
4) Will the anchor sit flush with the concrete so nothing sticks out of the slab?
Yes. The smooth wall body lets the ADI-25FL be installed flush mount, so once the rod or bolt is removed there is nothing protruding from the concrete. That is what makes it usable in a floor or a finished ceiling soffit where a stud anchor would leave a projection.
5) Will a steel drop-in anchor hold up in a damp or exterior concrete location?
The ADI-25FL body is steel, so it is best kept to dry interior concrete. For wet, washdown or exterior exposure, pick a stainless anchor instead, since plain steel in a damp hole will corrode over time and lose hold.
