The ADE-37 is a 3/8 inch internally threaded anchor. You drop it in the hole, set it, then thread 3/8-16 rod or bolt into it. The bolt is not supplied with the anchor, so order your rod, machine screws or hanger hardware separately.

Concrete, block, brick or stone. It is a masonry anchor only, not for drywall, wood or hollow non-masonry partitions. In hollow block, set it in the solid web rather than a void so both expansion shields can grip.

The anchor body measures 1 inch in diameter and 2 inches in height, so plan on a 1 inch hole drilled at least 2 inches deep plus a little extra for dust. The anchor should sit flush with the surface so the expansion cones pull evenly.

A double expansion anchor expands at both ends of the shield rather than only at the base. That spreads the load over the full 2 inch length, which is what you want in softer or questionable masonry like old brick, block or weathered stone. In sound, high strength concrete a single expansion shield is usually enough; in anything crumbly, the double is the safer pick.

Yes. Because the ADE-37 is internally threaded, the bolt or rod backs out and the anchor stays set in the masonry. That is the reason to spec it on equipment, conduit racks or fixtures that get pulled for service, where a wedge anchor with a protruding stud would have to be cut off.

UL Listed, yes. That matters for inspectors on conduit, cable tray and fixture support in commercial and institutional work, where the anchor is part of the support system being reviewed.

The body is Zamac alloy, a zinc casting. It handles normal interior and dry to occasionally damp masonry fine, but it is not a stainless anchor, so for constant wet, exterior coastal or chemically aggressive locations pick a stainless steel anchor instead.
