B-LINE AWF6036AP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size enclosure does the Eaton B-Line AWF6036AP flanged panel fit?
The AWF6036AP aluminum flanged panel is made for 60 x 36 inch B-Line series fiberglass enclosures. The panel itself measures 57 inches high by 33 inches wide, which is the usable mounting area inside that box size. If your enclosure is a different footprint, you need the panel sized to it, not this one.
2) Is an aluminum back panel OK in a NEMA 4X washdown or corrosive area?
Yes. The AWF6036AP is rated NEMA 4X and UL Listed, so it suits the same washdown, outdoor and corrosive duty as the fiberglass enclosure it mounts in. Aluminum gives you a lighter panel than steel at 18.941 lb, which matters when one person is setting a 57 inch panel into a wall-mounted box.
3) Does the AWF6036AP panel come with the enclosure or is it ordered separately?
It is a separate accessory. B-Line series fiberglass enclosures ship without the interior mounting panel, so the AWF6036AP is the part you add to get a mounting surface in a 60 x 36 enclosure. Order it along with the box if you plan to mount anything inside.
4) What is the finish on the B-Line AWF6036AP aluminum panel?
Smooth brushed aluminum, unpainted. That bare brushed surface conducts, so if your design calls for an isolated or painted subpanel you would need to address that separately. It also means no coating to chip when you drill and tap for device mounting.
