It is a single 10 foot plank: 120 inches long by 7 inches wide, with a 2.5 inch channel depth. One piece spans a 10 foot run in one length, so there is no mid-run splice. For wider walking surfaces you set two or more planks side by side, since each one only gives you 7 inches of tread width.

The three diamond Grip Strut plank is listed as OSHA compliant and is made for safe, sturdy footing where a non-slip surface is required, which is the usual reason it goes on catwalks, platforms, mezzanine walkways and stair landings. The diamond openings are punched and formed so debris and liquid fall through rather than pooling on the tread.

Plain means bare, uncoated steel with no galvanizing or paint applied. That is fine for dry interior service, but outdoors or in a washdown or corrosive area it will rust unless you paint or coat it after install. If the walkway is exposed, specify a galvanized or coated Grip Strut plank instead of the plain version.

The plank ships as bare grating only, no clips, hold down clamps or fasteners included. The 2.5 inch formed channel sides give you the flange to clamp or bolt through at each support, so order Grip Strut hold down clips or saddle clips and fasteners separately based on your support member. Plan a support at each end of the 120 inch length plus intermediates per your load span.

Grip Strut plank like this one is a single formed piece of 10 gauge steel with punched diamond openings, so it is far lighter to handle and set than steel bar grating and the serrated diamond edges give traction in every direction, including on ramps and stair treads. Bar grating carries heavier concentrated loads and longer spans. For foot traffic where slip resistance is the driver, the plank is the usual pick.

The plank is listed at 10 lb, so a 10 foot piece is light enough for one person to carry and set, though its length makes two people easier on a lift or scaffold. That low weight is also why it is common for retrofit walkways over existing structure where added dead load matters.
