The fitting is a 12 inch radius. That radius sets the minimum bend the cable sees as it turns down out of the run, so if your cable manufacturer calls for a bend radius larger than 12 inches, this fitting will over-bend it and you need a larger radius fitting instead. Radius also has to match the rest of the fittings in the run so elbows and tees look and splice consistently.

Aluminum. That keeps the weight down for overhead work, gives you natural corrosion resistance without a coating to scratch through, and it is non-magnetic. Keep the whole run in one material where you can, since mixing aluminum fittings into a steel tray run creates dissimilar metal contact at every splice.

Order the fitting as the 4A-06-VT12 and plan on splice hardware separately, along with the hangers or trapeze supports at the branch. The fitting is supplied as the tee body itself; the connection hardware between it and your straight sections is a separate line on the order.

Eaton B-Line part number 4A-06-VT12. Reading it out: 4 inch rail, 06 for a 6 inch tray width, VT for vertical tee, 12 for the 12 inch radius. If you need a different width or radius in the same family, that is where the digits change.

9.5 lb for the fitting itself. Light enough for a single installer to hold in place on a lift while the splice plates go on, but remember the hanger spacing at a tee carries three legs of loaded tray, not one.
