B-Line Eaton series imperial cable tray and ladder, 4" Height, 33" Length, 36" Width, Series 2-5 horizontal cross, Aluminum, 12" Radius

The 12 inch figure is the inside turning radius the fitting gives cable as it changes direction. Cable with a minimum bend radius of 12 inches or less is supported through the cross. Large power or fiber cable calling for a 24 or 36 inch radius needs the corresponding larger radius cross instead, since the 4A-36-HX12 will bend it tighter than the cable allows.

This cross is cut for the imperial Series 2 through 5 profile at 36 inch width and 4 inch rail height. B-Line tray outside that series range uses different rail sections and splice patterns, so the bolt holes will not line up. Match the series, the width, and the rail depth when you are extending an existing run.

Plan on a 33 inch reach from the center of the intersection out to the end of each leg, with the fitting carrying the full 36 inch tray width through the junction. That 33 inch dimension is driven by the 12 inch radius geometry, so it is longer than the tray width itself. Check clearance from ductwork and pipe on all four sides before you set your hangers.

CSA is the certification listed for this aluminum horizontal cross, which is what an inspector on a Canadian project will look for on cable tray fittings. That is the only marking carried on record for the part.

Order connecting hardware separately. The 4A-36-HX12 is supplied as the aluminum cross fitting itself; the splice plates and bolt sets that tie each of its four ends into the adjoining straight tray sections are separate line items, and you need one set per connection, so four sets for a full four way intersection.
